The Coach House
LaVonne and Eric are wanted as the custodians of The Coach House in Bexhill Old Town, East Sussex, England, by the Servants with Jesus, an ecumenical community of women committed to prayer, Revival, and all things Jesus!
LaVonne has been volunteering in this wonderful property that is set in such a quiet and beautiful location. Eric has been coming here to pray.
The Coach House is a Christian retreat and hospitality centre to which people come from all over the country and even from abroad. No charges are made but people are asked to make freewill donations if they can. The property is available to small groups and for mini-conferences. There’s a wonderful Prayer Room, a Prophet’s Room, and a Prayer Garden. People can drop in for friendship and refreshments, and for prayer and ministry if they desire, on four days of the week, Tuesday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. All facilities are available at other times by prior appointment.
Eric will continue in his role as the Chief Executive of The Pelham which is just a mile away, while LaVonne gets to minister to visitors to The Coach House and exercise her considerable gifts of compassion, hospitality and encouragement. She will need a settlement visa for which she must apply from the USA.
What a wonderful opportunity and extension to this ministry!
The Coach House is situated in a quiet and beautiful part of Bexhill that is steeped in Christian history, high on the hill overlooking the sea.
The story of The Coach House is a real faith story; and it’s told in an autobiographical book called “The God Who Speaks” by Eileen Wheeler, the founder of the Servants with Jesus. Copies are available from Amazon and from The Coach House itself; and it’s a can’t-put-down read!
Eric & LaVonne feel they could write a book about their journey to The Coach House, a real faith story too!
