Happy Thanksgiving! And, Happy Hanukkah!
Thanksgiving coinciding this year with the start of Hanukkah is very unusual – it last happened in 1888. According to the most commonly cited calculation, not only has this not happened for 125 years, but it won’t happen again for more than 70,000 years. Our Jewish brethren will be celebrating this Festival of Light and the victory of the Maccabees and the miracle of the cruse of oil.
Thank You, Lord for being the Light of the World, for Your victory on the Cross, and for the gift of the Holy Spirit.
