Good things
Pastor LaVonne reports some good things at New Life of Springfield Church in Ohio.
First of all, Senior Pastor Miguel Ten was found not to require surgery at all — because prayer works and God is faithful! Jesus still heals today.
LaVonne has lost no time in addressing some important needs. Under her, the church has opened a food pantry and the church cooks and provides a large meal at the end of every month when families often find their finances stretched to the utmost. The church is growing numerically as well as spiritually. LaVonne will be reviewing the children’s curriculum as more children are coming. So praise the Lord! For He is good! The meetings are powerful; the Spirit is moving; and LaVonne is enjoying herself, flowing in all her gifts.
LaVonne is one of three associate pastors — two males and herself. The church can seat approximately 450 people.
Seeds we planted are bearing fruit; for example, the food ministry that we started at Orient Methodist Church (when our church shared their building) is still going strong and has been extended to the homeless in nearby woods.
And, although our church imploded and died soon after we left for England to care for Eric’s elderly father, God has now given LEMI this much larger church under Pastor Miguel that is getting ready to explode!
It is envisaged that Eric will be pastoring there with LaVonne in due season, but let’s not run ahead of God. Whatever He wants, when He wants, is what matters most to us.
