Easter Sonrise
Eric was privileged to be invited to bring the Easter Sonrise (sic) message in the 6:30 a.m. service at Connection Pointe Church of God, Grove City, Ohio, where he and LaVonne are new members. At that hour it was a chilly 33 F degrees, so we met in the east-facing main entrance portico, between the outer and inner doors. It provides chapel-size space and excellent acoustics. We were very comfortable.
About 30 – 40 members came. Of course, it was a joyous occasion as we celebrated Jesus’s resurrection, the dawn of a new era in human history.
Eric began by drawing comparisons between the victory the Lord won over the Egyptians at the Red Sea when the Israelites crossed at night, and the victory He won, again overnight, when, after the crucifixion, He descended to the center of the earth, wiped the floor with Satan, and rose from the dead. Both times with the dawn the Israelites witnessed a new beginning.
All Glory to our Risen Lord Jesus Christ, without whom we would have nothing to say. Unfortunately, the message was not recorded.
