Come into the Light

Prophesied by Isaiah approximately 2,700 years ago and fulfilled by Christ’s birth some 700 years later:

The people who walked in darkness
Have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined.
(Isaiah 9:2)

I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.

Spoken by Jesus, and just as true today:

I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. Believe in the light, that you may become sons of light. (John 8:12, 12:36)

His Light shines ever brighter as the darkness in the world increases with each year that passes.

Today, if men acknowledge Christ, it seems for many as if He came to make sin safe, not to save them from it. For many, it’s as if He came to relieve them from the need for holiness, not to enable them to walk in it.

Many live as if it matters not how they live, whether for good or evil or nothing; it’s as if life here has nothing to do with shaping their character or preparing them for eternity hereafter. Many seem not to care who or what they believe. Many think they’re “woke,” but are blind and in darkness.

We live in a season of God’s grace and favor that’s now fast closing, a season of God’s patient forbearance, allowing all the opportunity to repent and turn to Jesus before it’s too late.

Believe in the Light, that you may become sons of light! The greatest gift of all for all time is Jesus Christ. It’s not about Santa; it’s all about Jesus. No matter what you’ve done, He will take you as you are and make you His own. Come into the Light
